| Martha
Rock Keller’s one-woman show Being/Seeing at
the Washington Street Gallery features paintings which speak to the way
she looks at life:
her background is in science and her paintings are her laboratory. She
experiments
constantly as she works, watching each brushstroke and line so as to
track her journey. She often paints waterscapes and has a continuing
interest in the way water affects us and how it might influence her art. Being/Seeing will be on exhibit from November 21st through December 24th at WSG Washington Street Gallery, 120 E. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor. There will be an opening reception to meet the artist on Friday, December 1st from 7 - 9 pm with live music by harpist Anne Keller, granddaughter of the artist. On Sunday, December 10th at 2 pm, Martha Keller will have a dialogue with the audience about "Ways of Seeing: Painting and Photographs". |
