Unframed ~ The piece is stretched and stitiched to 2” deep frame.

This piece is part of a growing body of work derived from drawings- “color smashings” in oil pastels. The process of weaving requires iteration upon iteration, transformations, and action following action, from paper, to pixels of light, to the trajectories of threads interlacing in the matrix.

The collisions and interactions appear fixed in time and space and yet in the cloth, they remain flexible, the boundaries maintain their positions by tension, and the contortions of trajectories of the thread.
