A bit of history in reverse order …

We open our doors at 111 East Ann Street on September 15th 2021.

June 2021, we renovated our current space - painting walls, ripping out old carpet, deep cleaning and installing laminate floors.

Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials! We spent skill-building the past 18+ months and looked forward to spending more time using tools in our studios than on our gallery space.

Emerging from restrictions of Covid 19 protocols, we are figuring things out as we go. We maintain a strong online presence with rich connections to our community and each other.

October 2020, we moved into the UPSTAIRS Gallery at the Ann Arbor Art Center. We swapped shows monthly while also maintaining a strong online presence.

We also partnered with Artsy.

March 2020- We closed our doors at 306 Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor, after 10 years at that location. We shifted our presence online, and remained active and connected and most importantly together!

At the time we closed the gallery on Main street, there were 15 owner/members producing 9 shows annually. Our shows rotated every 6 weeks. Our annual calendar included a featured artist show by one of our members along with work in the main gallery that included work by Visiting Artists. We also produced 2 shows that featured the work of invited artists: our annual Holiday Show and a show featuring the work of artists we admired.

First conceived in 1999 by 12 local artists, the gallery evolved with the community.
